In collaboration with Bounce Coalition, we will be hosting a special screening of "Resilience," a film that outlines Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) through a captivating narrative. After the screening, we will be facilitating a panel discussion with topic experts in developmental psychology, informed-trauma care, and intervention practice.
Topic: Every child has the right to be nurtured and to feel safe. Children who grow up in a violent home are likely to be victims of child abuse; and the damage can last a lifetime. Join a powerful discussion on how young people affected by family violence, can move forward and build a new life.
Each year, CGI U hosts a meeting where students, university representatives, topic experts, and celebrities come together to discuss and develop innovative solutions to pressing global challenges. Students create their own Commitments to Actionthat address issues on campus, in local communities, or around the world. Since 2008, students have made more than 6,250 commitments, and nearly $3 million in funding has been awarded to these commitment-makers through CGI U.
On September 14, we will celebrate Give For Good Louisville live and in person at the Midday Nonprofit Rally at 4th Street Live! from 11:30 - 1:00 PM. Roughly 200 participating nonprofits will get the opportunity to table under the atrium on 4th Street, while several other organizations will be part of the onstage performances to engage and build excitement around the biggest day of local giving.
